Fellow Lions, I know you will agree we had a fantastic time in Paris at our District Convention! I personally think it was the best little Lion convention in Texas! Thank you all for coming and participating and thank you Founders Club of Paris.
Participating is something we need to talk about again. Some of our clubs are doing a great job preparing their monthly reports and sending in their dues and it is greatly appreciated. On the down side, many of our clubs are not sending in their reports or paying their dues. If you are a President or a Secretary in your club, you are required by Lions International to send in the monthly reports and to pay dues and participate– in District 2X2 activities. That is just one of the duties of the office.
In order to make our new fundraiser a success, we need your individual participation, and also club participation. Remember the money we raise at the goes to the benefit of our Kids at camp! And as I have said many times, those Children deserve our best efforts. So, if you enjoy Country music, if you enjoy horse shows, if you enjoy playing games, if you enjoy being in the great outdoors of East Texas, and if you like to EAT, please join us at Sacred Spur Ranch on May 31st!!! I promise you will have Fun and most of all Our Kids get the BENEFITS. I am looking forward to seeing YOU there.

Fellow Lions: Thank you for voting me your District Governor Elect for 2-X2. The District Convention was really good. The Paris Founders Club shined. This one will be hard to beat. Food and entertainment were outstanding. The keynote speaker did an excellent job. A lot of good points were made during his speech. The Necrology Service was done in such a respectable manner that our fellow Lions would be proud of us. We thank them for their service to mankind. May they live forever in our memories.
Hats off to our District Governor Jim Merritt and his Lovely Wife Linda. Thank you for a job well done. Congratulations on being a Texas Lions Fellow. Thanks fellow cabinet members for another great year. 2-X2 looked great this year. We look forward to another great year.
